Children are becoming increasingly disconnected from the natural world. Without purposeful connection to nature, children are missing the opportunity to experience optimal health, well-being and development.

Re-engaging children to nature, in its many forms, is a worldwide social movement that aims to change this. Children In Nature New Zealand (CINNZ) is a nationwide collective designed to support whanau, educators and key stakeholders to be this change for our tamariki.

Children In Nature New Zealand provides support, community and the exchange of knowledge, skills and ideas; to equip and empower those who are passionate about nature as a catalyst for change in young New Zealanders.

Our Mission

Connecting people and ideas to enrich children's lives.

Time in nature is not leisure time;
it’s an essential investment in our
children’s health.
